Brighton are 15th in the Premier League with nine games remaining An unnamed Brighton player has tested positive for coronavirus but is "OK", says chief executive Paul Barber. Three Seagulls players underwent tests after showing symptoms of Covid-19, with one returning positive. Barber, who was unwilling to name the individual, said he is "getting the care he needs" and testing was only being done "when symptoms emerged". The squad are on a break from full-time training and working on their fitness at home because of the global pandemic. Brighton are 15th in the Premier League, two points above the relegation zone with nine games remaining. Arteta, 38, tested positive for the virus on 12 March but has since recovered after self-isolating. "I'd normally hope to be back with the team in two or three weeks' time." Kane had scored 17 goals for Tottenham this season before being injured during the 1-0 loss at Southampton. Jose Mourinho's side, who also lost forward Son Heung-min to injury, have since fallen from sixth to eighth in the table, and are four points behind fifth-place Manchester United. Kane added: "I'm at a good stage, pretty much doing everything. Now it's about building up my fitness. So from my personal point of view, I'm in a good place."

The outbreak of the virus which has claimed the lives of at least  7,873  people and spread to more than 160 countries, has also affected sporting events across the world. COVID-19, as the disease is officially known, has infected more than  194,000  people globally. Governments are scrambling to stop the spread of the virus, advising against public gatherings. In several countries, people have been cautioned not to shake hands to minimise risks of contamination. Italy, Europe's worst-hit country, has cancelled all sporting events until at least April 3 and the government has put the country in lockdown as it battles the virus. Former Chelsea footballer John Obi Mikel has parted ways with his Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor after he refused to play due to the coronavirus pandemic. The player's two-year contract was cancelled on Tuesday following his social media post confirming he was not comfortable playing until the coronavirus outbreak was over. "The professional football player agreement between our company and John Obi Mikel ... has been mutually terminated. With a mutual termination agreement, the football player gave up all his forward-looking receivables," Trabzonspor said in a statement  on Tuesday. Nassar, USA Gymnastics' ex-doctor, was jailed for life for abusing more than 250 athletes, including Biles and members of the Olympic teams. "How about you amaze me and do the right thing - have an independent investigation," said the 23-year-old. Biles is the most decorated US gymnast. She has won 19 world titles and four Olympic gold medals. In January, USA Gymnastics announced a plan to pay a $215m (£164m) settlement to the group of athletes abused by Nassar, who was sentenced to up to 300 years in jail in 2018. In a 2018 interview with the reporters, Biles said she was "relieved" after speaking out about Nassar after feeling "a lot of pressure" to keep the truth to herself for so long.

Coronavirus: Manchester United's Paul Pogba sets up fundraiser and pledges financial support

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has set up a fundraising page and pledged financial support to Unicef to help children affected by coronavirus. After turning 27 on Sunday, Pogba set up the birthday fundraiser to "help fight this war against Covid-19". The France international says he will double the fund if his goal of £27,000 is reached. "The impact of a large-scale outbreak, especially on poor and vulnerable children, can be immense," Pogba wrote. "It's my birthday and I'm always grateful that me, my family and friends are healthy.  N onetheless, not everybody is in good health right now. "At times like this we need to come together." The money will be used to provide disposable gloves, surgical masks and vented goggles for health workers,. On his 26th birthday, Pogba raised £7,360 for clean water organisation Charity Water.
